Unable to Delete Attachments
I would like to delete all my attachments but the option is not available... Help please... These files are using up my allotted space preventing me from uploading other photos.

What allotted space are you referring to?

I understand there is a limit of storage space regarding uploads. Correct? I have two attachments taking up space and would like them deleted.

Quote:
1. Click "user CP" - upper left 2. Under "miscellaneous", click "attachments" - lower left 3. Select attachments to be deleted - box to right of attachment. 4. Click "delete selected" at right... below box column. 5. All gone. Cheers, C

The checkbox is missing... Therefore, I can't select the files to be deleted. For some reason the check box option is not on the usual location ...

Huh... might be because you only have 10 posts. Usually it takes 25 plus and a short bit of computer "re-catagorizing" before all features become available. So... keep on postin'.

Weird because I was able to delete other attachments earlier today. Could it be that the threads where these photos were posted were closed/locked?

YIS - There is an upload limit, but you are no where near it at the moment. You have used approximately 1/3rd of 1 percent of your allotment. That's why I was curious if you had seen an error message or some other reason you thought you had reached your limit.
Anyway, as you surmised, the reason you can't delete the attachments is that the thread containing them (the one you resurrected from the dead) had been closed. For several reasons, attachments can't be deleted from a closed thread. If you do need them to be deleted, reply here, and I'll delete them for you. Otherwise, let's leave them there since your posts mention the attachments. |
