Who says you can't get a good deal anymore?

Just won this one off of GunBroker for $185.00. It's the engraved Hickok Navy:

There's another good deal I've bid on - unfired 1974 vintage Armi San Paolo/Euroarms-Brescia 1851 Sheriffs model in .36 with half fluted cylinder and lanyard ring. From the pictures, the frame is a nice plum color.

Sometimes you have to look under the generic areas such as B/p pistol. About 4 yrs ago I picked up a ROA for a steal, because it didn't say Ruger anywhere and the pic's were fuzzy, but I could make out the bird on the grip and bid, I ended up with a practically unfired SS ROA, they also didn't mention it was stainless and the pic's were so bad that you couldn't tell. You got a great deal on an engraved gun.

I got to spend more time in the black powder section on GB. Ken's cornered the market on Hickok Navies. Hawg, we need a full report on the Pedersoli!!! Looks sweet.

I'm going to ask more than I thought for mine,,,

I just got back into shooting last year,,,
I took a 7 year hiatus from everything fun,,,
I decided to go to university and snag a few degrees.

I can't believe the prices that cap & ball revolvers are going for these days,,,
That is until I picked up a Cabela's Catalog and hit a few other websites.

I have two Pietta 1858 Remingtons in .44 caliber,,,
I purchased them from Cabela's back in 1997 for $99.95 each,,,
I was told last week that I can get $150.00 apiece and I laughed out loud.

I went to Cabela's and they are retailing for $269.00

I also have the 1858 Revolving rifle that I paid $199.00 for,,,
Cabela's is now retailing those for a whopping $489.00.

I think I'll clean these puppies up and see what I can get for the lot,,,
I don't want to hassle with black powder anymore,,,
Lotsa fun but way too much trouble.

I'll probably give someone a good deal on a package,,,
I have a few spare cylinders and accessories.

They will come with two absolutely beautiful hand made holsters,,,
As well as a belt for a slender person, pouch, and flask holder.

I'll post an ad in the proper section of the forum,,,
As soon as I take new pics of everything.

Hey Fingers...I hope you don't mind but I borrowed your new 1851 last night when you weren't guarding the roost. I took this picture of it. I like it soooo much I hope you don't mind if I put a few rounds through it now....hehehehehe.

Actually, that's the pain in the arse one I bought last year. Yeah, the one with "the issues". Hope you have better luck with yours. I think I've got the issues worked out now but then again....... At least it looks purdy!

Thanks guys. Wasn't trying to steal Finger's thunder tho.

MCB I'm not positive it is a Pedersoli. He thinks it is and says it has DAP stamped on it so I am hoping. But there's still a few questions about it that will hopefully be answered tomorrow. Or maybe will just have more questions.

If it is a Pedersoli with the DAP mark it's rare. That mark hasn't been used for about 40 some years.

Got it today and it is not a Pedersoli. Dunno where he got that from. It was made in 76 and has RG Pioneer Arms on top flat of barrel. It is very well built and the action and timing are very good. The frame has turned a nice plum color. The only fault I can find is the turn line on the cylinder and a few slight scratches also on cylinder. I'm happy with it even if it isn't a Pedersoli.

Ok I talked to the guy and he told me where to look. It's under loading lever on barrel next to frame. It does say DAP but it's kinda Stylized. Letters are all made together.

Just got off the phone with bprevolver and he identified it as a Pietta but the R.G. Pioneer Arms is still an unknown.
