Florida and guns in the workplace (parking lot)....
What has been the final outcome of the law allowing Florida residents with
a CCW license to have a gun in their car in their parking lot at work? Has this been appealed or does it stand? One more question... Do you think that a Remington 870 would be of worthwhile tactical value if kept in the trunk? Can a shotgun like this endure Florida heat and humidity? (without rusting) Would the ammo stay dry enough in a hot, humid trunk? Or... is it just better to keep a semi-auto handgun in the car? |

For now, the portion of the law that prevents an employer from taking action against you is in effect. The portion of the law which prevents a business from taking action against a customer or invitee was struck down.
The law does require you to be a CCW holder for you to be protected.
