Holster for Ed Brown Cobra

I recently purchased a full size Ed Brown Kobra, and was dismayed that the Blackhawk Serpa holster I have wouldn't work with it. Apparently Ed makes his trigger guards larger than other 1911's.
I'm looking for a concealable OWB holster, and I'm curious what other Ed Brown owners are using.
This is the most expensive gun I've ever purchased and I'm very proud of it. My gun-savvy friend prefers more tactical holsters: kydex or kydex/suede lined, and claims they are faster on the draw. Makes sense to me, but part of me wants to baby this thing with leather.
Are there any good compromises between tactical and appearance beyond the kydex/leather lined? Should I be concerned about a perceived slower draw time with leather? But some of those leather holsters look sooooo good...
