Plastic tipped bullets

I have never loaded plastic tipped bullets before do you need any special seating die so you dont smash the tip

That depends on the particular bullet, seating die, and cartridge in question.

But, generally - No, you don't.

Generally not, though I drill out the seating plugs on a lot of my dies so they touch much closer to the ogive rather than the tip. I've not had a stock die damage the plastic tip, except on a Lee die and .204Ruger seater, because it had a sharp edge that I had to sand down.

I've never had a problem with several brands of dies & makes of polymer tipped bullets.
