Help me build my dream shotgun
Im ready to build my hiking shotgun! I need some advice though.
I want an 18 inch barrel benelli nova/supernova with a bead sight. Neither of these are available so Ill have to buy a used gun and alter it; should I get a gunsmith to either - remove the ghost ring sights on a tactical nova and have a bead sight mounted on the barrel which is already short enough - cut down a benelli field barrel to 18" and install a bead on that whaddya think? |

If you are in Canada, can't you shorten the barrel to 14" without extra hassle?
For hiking, I would want it as light and small as possible |

Perhaps you'll use your dream shotgun on nightmares.

I always wondered that about the JIC shotty!
Just in case you need this were going to put it in a tight container with a zipper. and just in case you need to aim were gonna put this terrible stock on it. atleast youre prepared just in case you fall off a cliff into water I dont need a 14 incher id rather have a mag extension on her |

Having spent a lot of hours with a SuperNova's ghost ring setup.....I am curious as to your desire for a bead front sight. Care to share why?

mainly for ninjas and bears, its a hiking gun. I can see ghost ring sights snagging on more things than a bead, as well as being a bit slower than a bead, itd be used to shoot a fairly close charging animal for defense, not precision shots. |
