Oops! Too many grips! ^L^ I blame my cold medications! >>> Update! Even more!
.
I have a terrible head cold today, got bored and went to the Esmeralda Grip web store. Click for Big Image Oops! I blame my medications!! I only have two 1911s, the bottom two are for the one with a magwell. - Thomas Last edited by ThomasH; November 5, 2012 at 04:17 PM. |

Looks like you need to order 3 new 1911's to go with the grips, you can blame that on the meds as well. Those are some nice looking grips though.

They sure make pretty grips. I'm tempted, but should save my ducats.

I have even more! (blush)
.
In an effort toward complete disclosure, I also have some grips made by "Sarge" of The Finer Grain. These have not had a chance to be fitted to a pistol yet either, but I am certainly prepared am I not!?! One of Sarge's claims to fame is that he shapes these grips specifically to fit the wider Les Baer frame. Since both of my Baers are out for some cosmetic surgery, I can't check that, but I can show you the grips he made for me. They are made from Desert Ironwood and the beveled pair on the left is for my Premier II and the flat-bottomed set on the right is for my Monolith, which is getting a magwell installed and re-finished in Ion Bond black. I hope you liked the picture. My PII should be back "soon", so I'll get shots of that with the various grips on it as soon as I can, okay? - Thomas |

Here's my work from Esmeralda. They are going on my other 1911 at some point, I put some VZ's on this one when it became my CCW.

Are those grips borderless Rob? Someone else mentioned borderless checkered grips but I didn't see any on Esmeralda's site?
And pardon my ignorance but what kind of 1911 is that? Maybe more pictures would make it clear!! - Thomas |

You know... they are borderless, I don't recall them being described that way though (I bought them about 6 years ago) and you're actually the first person to mention it, never really noticed :-)
That is a S&W1911Sc. |
