I've always had a bit of trouble understanding cheap/beater guns as car/truck guns.
cheap/beater doesn't necessarilly need to be crap, I've had a few guns in the past that fill this roll often they are LEO trade ins that are already not purdy.
My current truck gun is a Sig P220 that looks like it's been to hell and back but it still functions like a P220 should.

I completely understand your point, Locked, and agree for the most part. Like I mentioned, I do carry something good daily, but always like to have something around as a back up that wouldn't break the bank if stolen (not that I want to lose any to theft). Just can't see leaving an expensive gun inside a vehicle daily, even as I live in a low-crime community currently...If it's brought out of the vehicle when not occupied, then I really wouldn't call it a "truck gun". I'd just call it a carry gun, which changes my selection drastically.

Here's my question.....I shoot the G20 (10mm and 40 conv)great. Will that transfer to the G34 or 35? How about the close to the same sized G41?

Why don't I know anyone with one of these three.

I'd say the person with the problem is you. Good grief, you can't even spell the name right.

Going nowhere.

IMHO, a person should be able to pick up most modern quality semis and make good hits with them. Similarly, you should be able to hit things with a snubby or a full sized revolver.

I grant you some people have very small hands for some guns - but the average person should be able to do this.

Tempted to close this and we will unless the next posts are meaningful.

I know that Glock's are excellent firearms. Even with the fact that they are so heavily discounted for Law Enforcement purchase, LE wouldn't buy them if they weren't excellent firearms. Glock's are not for me though. First I like SA/DA, second, I like a visible hammer and last but very least I prefer a pistol that is pleasing to my eye. The last one is not very important but everything else being equal would be the tiebreaker.

I'll never bash anyone for using a Glock and expect the same. The bashers are the ones with issues.

Time has a way of changing things though. I never had the desire for a 1911, but my 17 year old son has wanted one since he was small. I finally bought him one for his birthday in April. I liked it so much I bought one for myself.

By all means Glenn, close it down.

I restarted this two year old thread as a rant against over-zealous gun store salesman ramming Glock's down the shooting public's throat. Since there are countless Glock threads, I figured I would not start a new thread just to get my little rant in...thus doing us all a favor.

There seemed to be plenty of folks out there that felt the same way; that tire of salesman and Glock-o-philes alike constantly pushing their "wares" for whatever reason. It just gets old.

What I failed to realize, was that so many would simply read the title, go to the end, and comment...not realizing the subject matter had changed a bit. If anyone is interested in what the subject matter changed to, please refer to post #55. So, thanks for keeping it open awhile for the second part, but feel free to close away.

i barely snickered at that movie, I did not find it nearly as hilarious as many of the comments on it would have you believe. then again I am not a S&W fan and definitely not an M&P fan.

I kindof agree, this thread ran it's course 2 years ago, now it's almost sad.
close away Glenn
