sig p239 slide rattles
Hi everyone,
Is .015 difference between frame and slide too much on a brand new Sig p239? Any info would be appreciated. Thanks. |

I don't think it's a problem. I haven't measured mine with calipers, but it's not really supposed to be a tight fit. This contributes to the famous Sig reliability, especially when dirty. Mine rattles just a bit also, but only when you try to get it to.

Mine rattles worse than an old 45 Colt but it plays OK. Must have had some problems converting from metric to English specs or something.

I bought one in .40 cal about 3 months ago. It is tight as a drum. No rattles at all. So rar about 300 rounds downrange with no failures, so I don't think it is negatively affected by the close fit.

Sigs are supposed to be the Cadillac of pistols, though, so it ought not rattle like a rusty old pickup truck going over speed bumps!
