.224 cal bullets ???
is there any 65 to 70 gr vld bullets that r good for hunting yotes and deer i use hornady 68 gr bthp match now and seem to do ok but i shoot a big coon the other day and seen that the jacket peeled off and the lead came apart

Speer makes a 70 grain round nose that is an excellent hunting bullet.

It requires you use a more aggressive ball powder because it takes up a lot of case when seated to the proper depth but it is a terrific bullet.

Hornady 60 & 75 grain V-Max and A-Max = makes nice holes intact.

arnt the v and a max about the same and arnt they just a match with a tip shoved in the end of them the 75gners i have thought about just havent done it yet

The V stands for varmint and are a little tougher. The A stands for accuracy and are used for shooting paper at long distance. Then there is the SST which is a true hunting bullet.

No, not in 223. The smallest I am aware of is the 6.5mm in 129 grains.
