I dont sell guns just the safes when I need more room But I do have some guns got that people want back but are not getting back

I've never traded or sold a gun, hence I have no regret.

Gave a couple away that I absolutely despised though, so I'l list em.

7 inch or so barrel Dan Wesson 357 mag revolver, when they were still made in the Massachusetts or were ever.

Henry H001 22 lever gun, bought the golden boy in 22 so the old blued one never got shot.

Rossi matched pair 22lr and 410. Nothing wrong with it, I just wanted a different 410 shotgun.


I got alot more enjoyment seeing others use and cherish them then have them taking up space in the safe.

LOL, yeah, That's how I would get whatever gun struck my fancy I'd trade the ones I had for the ones I wanted. I loved the guns shows out west. The Missoula fall gun show was like Christmas to me

Everygun I have ever sold except a Pedersoli Flint Lock 36 cal rifle(worst gun I have ever owned, in so many ways it's undescribable) and a Ruger Super Black Hawk that had been cut to a 5" barrel. That gun hurt me every time I shot it. I got tired of bleeding and got rid of it.

I sold an original Springfield trapdoor 45-70,,,
I really needed the money and got an excellent price for the rifle,,,
But in retrospect I wish I would have sold my motorcycle(s) instead of the rifle.

In a fit of brotherly love I gave my baby brother (he was 18) my first rifle,,,
It was an 189? Winchester pump with octagonal barrel chambered in .22 short.

It was in very very good shape and was actually starting to climb in value,,,
I found out later that he pawned it within a few months for $50.00,,,
I offered to pay the pawn fee and get the rifle back,,,
But he let the pawn expire before telling me,,,
I really wanted to smack him one.

I will occasionally swap or sell a gun I own,,,
But now I give it a lot more serious thought before I do.

Ruger p-89 3 15 rnd mags, Smith and Wesson 686 with 6 inch barrel beautiful blue and accurate, 1st gen clock 19 with night sights and 4 15 rnd mags all these were sold pre ban days when i was in my twenties dum dum dum.

Guns I wish I had back?? Most of the ones I got rid of after my divorce. But I really miss my 1871 Mauser. And my 6.5-06. And my 8X57 hunting rifle in the fiberglass stock. And my Mark X in 375 H&H. And, and, and . . Like I said, most of the ones I got rid of.

How long can a post be? I doubt I've had anywhere as many as some of you but here's a short list.

A Model 39 S&W with all the original papers.
A pre-war registered .357 magnum (with none of the original papers) but it wasn't in very great shape. Still!!
A Winchester Model 95.
A Ruger No. 1 .45-70.
A very late production Lee-Enfield No 4.
A wartime Lee-Enfield sniper rifle with crate.
A jungle carbine.
A 4" Model 29.
Two model 624s.
Etc., Etc., the list goes on and I didn't even get to the Colts.

Of course the list of things I want and have never had is even longer.

All I have now is two revolvers and two automatics (I think).

Well, if you never got rid of it how else would you know that you were going to miss it afterward? The lesson is that after you get rid of it, just forget about it. Then if you ever do decide to buy another one, then that's okay. But don't feel bad about the one that you got rid of because there was a good reason why you got rid of it in the first place.

But gave them to my Son-in-law who was driving home. He will eventually get them anyway. He is a carpenter and did several thousand dollars worth of work on my place and I had no money to pay him so I gave him guns.
