870 Police question

Do the current production Remington 870 Police shotguns have the magazine tube dimples that prevent one from easily adding extensions, and do they have the new key-lock safety on the trigger guard?

NO, thank god. I bought one last month, and it's still minus dimples, and with the standard non-locking safety.

870 -HD

I bought the 870 HD ( same as Police??0 last week - came w/ the keyed safety---can change that.

Even better- not in the catalog yet-----came as an 8-shot from the factory - no dimpled tube.

Parts card calls it 7/8 shot. I assume its an 8 with 2-3/4 shells / 7 with the 3-inch shells.
I'll let you know after I get it out next weekend.
