Replacement parts needed

have Colt's King Cobra revolver.

Recently I lost two small but vital parts:

Crane Lock Detent
Crane Lock Spring

I contacted Numrich Gun Parts. They can only supply the Crane Lock Spring and said that Crane Lock Detent is not in the inventory. They did not answer my question, whether this particular part may be available future.

There no service email listed to Colt so I could not send my enquire there.

My question: Is there any other source of replacement parts for guns not longer in production that sell through Internet?

A faster source will likely be Brownell's gunsmith supply, who carry most parts for newer Colt firearms.

The crane lock detent and spring are interchangeable on ALL Colt revolvers made since the mid-1950's.
A detent set from a Python, Anaconda, Trooper, or Trooper Mark III or V, will fit your King Cobra.

An extra benefit of ordering from them is, you can request their fantastic gunsmith supply's catalog, which should be standard equipment for all shooters.

No I haven't

I just got confirmation from Brownells that they are shipping my order. I didn't know that Brownells sells gun parts. I thought that they are just tools and stuff.

Their prices seem to be lower than Numrich and their order confirmation e-mails possible to understand. I could never figure out from the gibberish Numrich sends whether they are shipping things or not.

Thank you all once again,

Roman
