9mm Luger Favorite Powder
I currently have Accurate No. 5 & 7 along with blue dot. I have loaded and fired both No. 5 & 7 but I have not had a chance to fire the rounds I loaded with blue dot. I was wondering if anyone had any other suggestions for powders that they have had success with or are particularly fond of. I am shooting 115 gr JHP Montana Gold bullets in my reloads currently. I would be very interested in any powders that can also be used effectively to reload 45 ACP as I intend to buy dies nd start reloading that caliber in the near future.

I'm fond of Green Dot and Bullseye in 9mm. (the Bullseye gives better performance, so I didn't replace the GD when I ran out) WSF is on my short list of powders to try.

Bullseye and Unique are both great performers, though I've also had good luck lately with Titegroup.

Try Hodgdon HS-6. Gives good, accurate, clean results from all my 9mm's.

I hear say that the US Army has loaded over 1,000,000,000 rounds of 9mm with Power Pistol, but Bullseye is my tried and true favorite.

For plated 124 grain 9mm I use Titegroup exclusively. I shoot the plated exclusively in my G26 and the Titegroup does just fine. I save the Bull's Eye for loading my homecast lead for .45 acp.

I've used AA#5, Bullseye & HS-6 for 9mm.
For day to day practice loads, I found that Bullseye was a bit more accurate that AA#5 for my application, YMMV. HS-6 worked really well for higher power loads.

I primarily use Power Pistol, followed by HS-6. I just started working up some loads with Ramshot True Blue, and Vihtavuori 3N37, and I'm excited to see the results.
I've used pretty much all common powders in 9mm with success. It is a high pressure cartridge, but it is pretty easy to load. |

I use HS-6 and Win 231. HS-6 fills the casing pretty well and is my personal favorite, but I use the W231 when I have a lighter bullet that needs to be seated a bit deeper and would compress the HS-6.

I use Hodgdon TiteGroup for both 9mm and .45 acp ( and .40S&W, .38 spl, .357 mag and .44 mag as well ) ....its a good powder.
Charge volumes are low in TiteGroup ....so you do have to be careful with it / hopefully have a Powder Check Die option on your press ideally ... |

9mm Powder
+1 HS6, incredible clean burn in the 9mm ad .45ACP. Also Ramshot Silhouette if used in a barrel >4". In subcompacts it throws off a great muzzle flash.

Unique (but you can't use it for super wimpy stuff - Unique burns cleanest at moderate to high pressures).
For certain loads, I might use W231/HP-38 or Titegroup.

For high vel stuff I'd say WSF, Unique, and Longshot. For standard loads gotta go with 231.

I like a number of powders in 9mm depending on the bullets weight.
I like Power Pistol with the light 90g XTP. AA #5 with 124g XPT or Gold Dots. Bullseye with 115g XTP'. And last but not least Tightgroup with 147g. I know that any of these powders would work for all of the bullet weights but, I have found some great loads for my CZ 75B that these different powders provided.

My standard is Universal, having tried Bullseye, 231 and Unique. I'd like to try Power Pistol some time.
