Benelli SBE II bolt issue

I noticed recently that when the bolt is locked open on my SBE II, if I simply set the thing down on the buttstock, that is enough shock to make the bolt slam shut. If I simply "bump" the bolt handle with my hand, that will also make it happen.
I have had it apart a number of times trying to figure out what exactly is going on with it, but can't seem to find anything worn or installed incorrectly.
A forum and google search did not yield any results, so any insight would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Ed
