screw-in choke ??

I recently bought a 12ga 870 wingmaster that someone had the barrel cut to 21" and a screw-in choke installed. The dealer said it was a "tru-choke". Does anyone know about this brand and will some other choke, such as Rem-choke or some other brand interchange with it? There are no markings on the choke tube other than the word "full". thanks for any help.

Truchoke= .795" X 44 TPI.

Bad news, not interchangeable with brand name chokes like Remchokes, etc.

Good news, still available from Trulock, Colonial, Carlsons',etc.

I have one Express barrel, shortened to 21" and threaded like that. Hatful of tubes, from no choke to crazy too much.

These were common when tubes first became extant. When barrel walls were thin, these were the goto tubes.

My bunty little barrel and tubes work well. Touching off goose loads in a 3 man pit blind can strain relationships, so be warned.
