What is the best finish for Sig frames?
I have a P225 I am thinking of having refinished, so that the frame rails last a LONG time.
Honestly, the frame looks great. I am getting ideas so I have a definite plan when this happens. The only area that concerns me is the rail region. This is an anodized aluminum frame. Any suggestions on what finish will last the longest without stressing the aluminum out? Thanks. |

A fresh anodizing would be the most durable IMO.

CeraKote is very hard and durable.
GunKote is easy to apply and there are smiths doing refinishing all over the place. Hard anodizing may be what you are looking for, it can be dyed any color you want.
