If wanted to customize my slide with front serrations, where could I get it done?

Serrations
Dear Shooter:
Find someone with a mill. If it is a standard size, mount it in a good vise with the adapter, set the head at 30 degrees, (head to the left , mtr. etc cutter to right) spacing is .070 per, measure back 1.400 to cut your first serration (3/8" cutter in R-8) come down .025 deep and start cutting from rear to front - cut 12 serrations, reverse slide and do same. It's done! The "adapter" is what you mount the slide on horizontally which takes the "taper" out of the fix. Harry B. |
