9mm commander barrel
hello there,
Gun is series 70 Colt combat commander. I am looking for a 9MM commander barrel with installed compensator, not the compensated barrel. Any suggestions? or combination barrel and compensator from different manufacturer. This is for steel shooting matches. Thanks |

You can install a coned compensator onto your your barrel. You can see what it takes by going to www.gansguns.com and clicking onto the line fitting a coned compensator.

A 9mm does not need a large or long compensator. If you go with a cone style compensator most will use a .575x40 thread. If you are wanting to build a steel gun you will want to keep the gun light in weight. You would be better served to use a compensator that uses a barrel bushing, don't confuse this with a comp that replaces the barrel bushing as they are not what you want. If you decide on a cone style comp I would use a titanium one.

Here's the last view. As you can see the gun is light and fast; it's sweet to shoot. You will notice I chose to use a short comp on this gun because it's just a 9mm, also the comp uses a barrel bushing. Regards Bob Hunter www.huntercustoms.com |
