In Laws who don't like guns.
Hi guys,
My name is Adam and I work for a production company in NYC. We're currently working on a new show about married couples who are having problems with their in laws. I am looking for someone who loves guns who has in laws that don't approve of it. While I have no problem with guns, and for that matter, support owning them, there are definitely people out there who don't. Nevertheless, this is a golden opportunity to work out these issues with your in laws. You and your in laws will be working through your issues with an expert in a productive and helpful way. Don't worry--this show is not meant to make anyone look stupid, we're not here to exploit anybody, and most importantly, our goal is not to make gun owners look bad. Our goal--very simple--to make your family's relationships stronger. Obviously, families will be getting paid (QUITE WELL) for participating. If you're interested, please message me--I'd love to talk with you guys. Thanks a lot, Adam |

Folks, please respond directly to the OP if you want to take part. If you wish to share here - be discreet. We aren't really interested in the depths of your family horror.

sounds interesting but I have no interest in being on tv. I love guns but my wife doesn't. she's not anti-gun per se, she just doesn't like them and won't let me keep them in our house

TFL makes no claim that this is legit or not. If you decide to participate, do what you need to do to protect yourself.
You are supposedly intelligent adults?

"How do we know he is legit?"
That's something that anyone who chooses to respond will have to verify to his own satisfaction. TFL does not, cannot, and will not vouch for the legitimacy of the OP or his project.

Fair enough, however--how do her parents feel about your gun ownership and use?

Re: Mike
Mike raises a good question.
The TV world is very weird about what can and cannot be put in writing, otherwise I'd include more details like the production company I'm part of, the network the show is set to air on, and how much money the families will receive. However-- if you call me or message me, I can give you all the information you need. I swear I'm real--as this is opportunity! Adam Feel free to give me a call at 212 564 2607 ext 2408 to find out more. Last edited by InLawCasting; March 25, 2011 at 11:28 AM. |

I don't understand why I would care if they like my guns or not. If they don't drag me to church and I won't drag them to the range.

That would be great...... just leave guns all over and you'd never have to worry about the in-laws coming over.

Here's how horribly screwed up something like this can get!!!
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Crossba...he_Debate_Show Read the first two paragraphs. For more details: http://www.arizonashooting.com/v3/vi...95235&start=15 InLawCasting: I don't know if you've got anything this screwball planned. Seriously, no idea. But if you pull something like this, be aware that you'd better not have one piece of BS in the release form, or if you ARE playing games don't push too far like Comedy Central did me.

Thanks for your research--you did notice the most important part, that show occurred on Comedy Central, and ours is a network that is far more serious. As I mentioned in the casting notice, the families will be working with an expert, not a comedian or an actor.
In you are interested, please give me a call or e-mail me, my contact information is above. |

OK, it's pretty obvious that comments in this thread are getting more sour the longer it remains open.
So, to prevent anyone from doing something really stupid, I'm closing this.
