My Hy Hunter .....

As it stands right now:

The trigger guard is from a Uberti 1851 Navy, the backstrap a Hy Hunter replacement part, grips home made.

Bob, I have enjoyed the photos of your work along the way. Can you give us a rundown of what you have done 'under the hood'?

If "under the hood" you mean doing any action work, so far, none. This gun came with a trigger of about two pounds let-off with no perceptable creep. Timing and lock-up is excellent. There is some end shake, which I will address later. Also intend to remove the Christy firing pin and install a Colt-style hammer and firing pin bushing. Grip work suffices me and my budget for now.

I think you should make it a real hunter and go put some meat in the freezer with it.
