Looking into getting one of these beast. Seen plenty of reviews and even some take down video's. It's just a copy of a browning, from what i'm told. However, These come drenched in cosmo, as most milsurp do. Can anyone tell me how to break down and disassemble the trigger mechanism? I cant find anything about that. As it will need to be cleaned as well. Thanks in advance.

The Yugo Tokarev?

I wouldn't disassemble the trigger mechanism at all.

It's exposed enough that you can clean the cosmoline off with mineral spirits and brake cleaner and then relubricate.

BUT, if I recall correctly, the only thing you need to do to remove the Tokarev's trigger, once you remove the sear and hammer assembly, is remove the magazine release. The trigger should then slide out to the rear.

Thanks Mike for that suggestion. I was speaking about the Yugo tokarev. I've seen how to remove the mechanism itself, but was assuming to get into the "nooks and cranny's" I was under the assumption that it needed to be disassembled. However, If you suggest that it can be cleaned and re-lubed without an added headache, I'll definitely take that advice. Thanks again, oh and thanks for not kicking me off this forum and on to the C & R one. Though, they are my weapons of choice, this question would have went several pages longer with responses and I'm sure arguments.

I like my Yugo M57 the best of all three of my Tokarev variants. Mostly because of the safety that actually looks like it belongs there, and functions properly.
