Shoulder Holsters: A Quick Question

I've been looking at a number of different rigs and also searched this forum, which was a great help. However, I have one concern. Those of you who use shoulder holsters, have you had any problems with the leather straps crossing your back staining your shirts due to sweat?

An unusual question, but I'd hate to buy one and after a hot, sweaty day get out of my car with a big "X" on my back from the straps. Can anyone help?

This is the first time I've heard this question. Which surprizes me, as it seems a good one to ask.

I've had no experience with shoulder rigs and hot weather (no CCW Illinois

). But I've heard that sholder holster rigs are durn uncomfortable in hot and humid climates, regardless of what you see on Miami Vice! (Maybe those Armani suit jackets have built in air conditioning?)

During hot summer months most leather rigs will allow some of the dye to transfer to a garment it is touching.
This is especially true of the rough side of the leather since it does not allow the dye to be sealed well.
I always use a lacquer on the leather after it is died that helps to seal the dye and adds a great hi gloss look to the leather.
If you really want a le ather shoulder rig that will not transfer any dye just go with a natural color as apposed to dyed leather.
