9mm subsonic loads with ww231 powder

A friend of mine is into reloading and he does all my reloading for me. Now I am working on find a nice subsonic load for my X5 tac with silencer. I have lots of WW231 powder laying around that I would like to use, but I am having a hard time finding loading charts for 147 grain 9mm loads with that particular powder. Are there any other powders that burn the same a 231 that I can substitute reloading info for?

I have Hornady encapsulated 147 Fmj bullets and was planning on starting at 3.6 grains and working our way up to around 4.0 or so. I would like to see between 950 and 975 fps with the can on.

If anyone has some pointers or has loaded some subsonic loads with WW231, please chime in, I'd love to hear from you.

Thanks

W-231 seems to fast for a 147 FMJ at 950fps, maybe 900 ? WSF, AA#5 or HS-6 would be a better way to go.

The speed of sound is approximately 1,070 fps. Any load data that would provide a safe cushion below this velocity, say 1,000 to 1,025 while considering what a flyer on the high side could be, will be subsonic. I don't have access to my loading books right now to look up a suitable recipe.

I have used 231 to load 9mm 147 grain bullets at subsonic velocity. However, I can't find the load data I used. I just checked (I remembered seeing it) and I even have the label on a box that says Subsonic 9mm with 231 powder but it doesn't list the charge weight and the ammo in the box is loaded with a different powder (clearly labeled):

I would recommend you use Power Pistol powder.

FWIW: I shoot a lot of subsonic 9mm. I have two 9mm suppressors that I can put on about four different handguns as well as a suppressed AR15 upper from LRM. I buy 9mm 147s, 2000 bullets at a time. I go through them much faster than I like.

From behind each fence and farmyard wall,
Chasing the redcoats down the lane,
Then crossing the fields to emerge again
Under the trees at the turn of the road,
And only pausing to fire and load.
