primer pocket swager?

Hello, where can I pick up a hand held small primer pocket swager to remove the primer crimp from military .223 brass?

I have one that's made by Lyman. Got it special-ordered from my local dealer. But, after an hour or so of oozing blisters, I threw the military brass in a bag and bought
some once-fired commercial stuff. I know other guys who use a swager in a drill, but for the $$ it doesn't seem worth it.

If you want to do more than a few get a RCBS primer pocket swager combo. You set it up in your press and can do small or large pockets.
Cost less than a set of dies.

I use one of Dillon's super swager 600. I like it alot.

Monkeyleg, I think you're talking about a cutter, not a swager.

If you have any volume of crimps to remove, get the Dillon swage. I've done thousands of .223 with it, and it's quick and painless.

Buy a bucket of 3500 once fired military brass from River Valley Ord. cleaned, sized and swaged for around $160 delivered last time I looked. I'm never swaging another freakin primer pocket

Lyman used to sell wooden handeled primer pocket reamers, they may still. Hand held, and easy to use.

RCBS used to sell a press mounted pocket swager, came qquipped with large and small swage buttons. Need a special push rod for .223 cases. Sold them also. Worked quite well on a single stage press.

Never saw a hand held swage.
