Winchester 1300 Defender sights
Hi, everyone. I need some assistance....
A while back, I got a slug barrel for my Defender--20" with rifle sights. I intended to install it and use it with the shotgun--of course. However, shortly after I fired the first rounds, I found that the rear sight was VERY loose in the dovetail. I re-installed the 18.5" riot barrel, and it's been there since. Here is my question: will the Tru-Glo rear sight fit the dovetail on the barrel---and can the front sight be easily replaced?

You may be able to tighten your rear sight by tapping it out and inserting a small screw driver into the sight and hitting it very lightly with a small ball peen hammer. That will spread the tangs downward a bit.
I have used the TruGlo slug gun optic front/rear sights on my 1300 Defender. They replace the factory sights with no problems. Part #TG961W. |

Thanks for the advice! I'll order a set.
