We used to use release triggers on trap guns, so if you are used to that this would provide a rapid follow up when hunting. You essentially point your finger at the target to fire.

This is an old thread, but had to update it. It has been a few years, but my trigger is finally making it to market. I am working with Fostech, Fostech has been assigned my patents, and they are releasing it as the ECHO trigger.
Here is a link to video of the ECHO trigger. https://www.facebook.com/iraqveteran8888official/ |

Congrats on getting it to market.
I am unable to view the link you posted (at work), but the idea intrigues me. Good luck!

My FAL did that lol. Quite scary to me actually.
I thought it was doubling for one pull of the trigger. But slow function check revealed that it actually fired again on the release of the trigger. In essence the second round was a bumpfire in a sense. Of course I ditched the HTS and replaced it.

This seems very, very much like Franklin Armory's binary trigger.

Scares me to think about a semi auto pistol with that.
But congrats anyway! It would be cool if there was a way to shunt the trigger or use the safety to prevent that 2nd shot. That would complicate it probably. I want one on a Ruger 10/22 with hi cap mag! |

Everywhere I have read says that engaging the safety after the first round has fired does indeed prevent the second round from firing.

I wish you success and prosperity.I applaud your innovation, and the fact you got it done.
It is dual mode. For myself,I think I may be a bit too fallible for that one. I believe I'd "OOPs!" it occasionally which would send an unintended round down range. If I did that,I would expect myself to have the muzzle pointed in a safe direction. If someone got hurt,it would be 100% my fault.I own that. I can see a scenario where someone would get hurt/killed and the device(you) would be blamed and sued. Not trying to be negative, but that would be a concern. |

It's not something I would be interested in; I'm with HiBC I applaud your success in getting it done.
Also his concerns about being sued are something seriously to consider in this day and age, you might want to have a darn good attorney on retainer. I wish you the best with your invention. Best Regards Bob Hunter |
