Does anyone make pistols chambered for FN's 5.7
Does anyone else make pistols chambered for FN's 5.7? I find it to be a very intriguing round due to the high round count, high velocity, but low recoil. Regardless of who makes it, the grip would be pretty large due to the length of the round.

I've never seen one other than the Five-seveN. The Five-seveN is on my purchase list for next year; I love this round in SS198.

Excel Arms makes the Accelerator Pistol in 5.7x28. I have one in 22 WMR and its well made, and accurate. Its a big pistol, has a good trigger, made in the USA, and reasonably priced. I see Buds has the 5.7 in stock.

If anyone else built one, they would screw it up. The FN is perfect.

If you want one in 1911-style, RIA makes the
.22TCM, which actually has slightly better ballistics, and it comes with a 9mm barrel, uses the same mags... so you can switch back & forth on ammo useage! And since it uses 5.56 brass...if you've got an AR or whatever, it practically loads itself

FWIW standard .22 TCM uses .38 Super-length magazines, which is not a problem for the 1911 platform, but is problematic with many other pistols designed around 9mm/.40 case dimensions.

I love the idea of the 5.7 round and the FAN brand but I can't bring myself to pay the price of the five seven.
I've done a lot of looking around for alternatives and it seems like what everyone has posted so far are about your only option unfortunately. |
