Best 357 SIG Powder

Looking for a fairly clean, decent metering, not to much of a major flash, powder for the 357 SIG, which can also be used for .40 S&W reloading as a backup.

In the next couple weeks, I'll be testing and chrongraphing loads with AA9, Power Pistol, and Blue Dot, all which are supposed to make IPSC Major power according to the Speer reloading book.

If I can find some N350, I might test it as well, although it doesn't push a 357 SIG bullet quite as well as the above mentioned ones.

I might also test Unique to see if it burns a bit cleaner with a 357 SIG load. Maybe even AA7.

Any other experience from others are welcome.

I've used AA#7 and 9 with #9 giving better results. Have not done much load work-up with it yet, but Vectan SP2 shows promise.

Using a Glock 27 with a KKM 357 sig barrel, magically transforming it into a Glock 33.

Speer 124 grain TMJ, 9.0 Gr Power Pistol, Winchester small pistol primers (not magnum).
1314, 1308, 1308, 1311 fps.

Not a max load (9.5 is max) but a real handful in that little gun, in fact it's "Hotsy Totsy" for that little gun. Sorta ho hum if it were 357 magnum out of a big Ruger GP100.

Bullet 124 gr COL = 1.201 inches

Starting charge Maximum charge
N340 6.5 grs 7.6 grs
3N37 7.5 grs 8.6 grs
N350 7.5 grs 8.7 grs

SP2 sounds interesting. But I don't believe there is any official reloading data for the 357 SIG yet, is there? Please share your load data as you develop it.

Hazmat fee just went up to $15. Thanks Bill. That means 1 lb of SP2 + Hazmat + shipping would cost me roughly $35. Getting it in bulk would be fine however.
