104,000 to 240,000 is a serial block assigned to Inland Div of GM made between Jan and Mar 1943. Value is dependent upon condition and originality (mixed during rebuilds and new features applied) and would take inspection to properly determine. A rebuilt carbine in good condition averages $1000 + or -.

I wouldn't assume the manufacturer based on serial...OP didn't say it was usgi.
Cmp is about to sell a limited number of GI carbines for about $650...Feb 1st. They will go fast.

Like Ibmikey says, the receiver is an Inland. NPM's assigned S/N range started at 413,017 in Feb. '43.
Insufficient info for even a ball park value. Condition, make, etc, etc. 'Originality' is usually misleading. Anybody that tells you all the parts are from the same manufacturer as the receiver is leading you astray. None of the makers made all of the parts. Inland made only 9 including the receiver. Go here. Read the "Worth Noting" paragraphs at the bottom. http://www.uscarbinecal30.com/index.html

I believe only the receiver was serial numbered. The other parts have a MFG code on them as to who made it, but no serial number.
Virtually all .30 Carbines have been refurbished at least once, and that always mixes up the parts.

With all of the aftermarket pirates of GI parts even makers codes are not a certainty that they made it. By originality i referred to the weapon as originally issued and there is sufficient research data to provide a reasonable description of parts at a given time of production. That research does take into account that changes and modifications were made and usually older parts were still used until the supply was exhausted. The OP's rifle would require total disassembly and inspection to gain information on what it is today and compare that to the known information of yesterday. To me any G I carbine is great...i have collected them since my DCM Inland in 1963 (wow am i old!).
