Which bullet for handgun hunting? FMJ-FP or WFNGC Hard cast?

For deep penetration and hunting/woods protection, which do you prefer for a handgun: Flat point FMJ or wide flat nose hard cast? I know that the purpose of the flat point/nose is to crush tissue rather than make an ice-pick like wound channel like regular FMJ does. With bullet weights and velocities being equal, which do you prefer and why?

I don't think it is legal to hunt with FMJ bullets. At least not here in Commiefornia....

Almost all state make it illegal to hunt with FMJ bullets. Use the hard-cast.

"...hunting/woods protection..." From what?
Commercial FMJ's aren't the same thing as military ball.

I have been useing the Cast Performance WFN bullets ever since I learned about them from a writer for Guns and Ammo years ago. In my .44 mag. and 500 Smith. The 200 grn. WLNGC .358 bullet has turned my 13 year old sons 357 mag. into a real penatrator, 8" of oak, 2" at a time and lodged into the fifth board. I have no reservations about him killing the largest whitetail here in Ohio at all. And, if you reload, you can push them faster then the jacketed bullets with the same presure! I would stay away from the FMJ's for any hunting exept varmit.
