Its Year End - good time to update photos of your gun collection for insurance, etc.
Its year end / so I try to update photos of my gun collection ...nothing real fancy, just document things for condition, accessories, etc .... / just in case - because stuff happens...
take a snapshot of the safe / maybe one of each family of guns .... Remember most Homeowner's Insurance or Renters policies have a sub-limit for Theft of guns ( maybe $1,000 - $2,500 ). A few companies have no sub-limits / and policies vary by state. But if you "schedule" your guns / its up to you to keep the list current, by make, model, serial number, etc and value. But for things other than Theft - like Fire - your guns are probably covered as part of your personal property just like furniture, clothes, etc - so make sure you have enough coverage in the "personal property" section of your policy for all the guns, reloaders, etc ...and furniture, clothes, etc - and remember its replacement cost, not what you paid - so use current list prices for values. http://www.thefiringline.com/forums/...9&d=1259774873 http://www.thefiringline.com/forums/...0&d=1259774873 http://www.thefiringline.com/forums/...8&d=1256245028 http://www.thefiringline.com/forums/...2&d=1259866336 Last edited by BigJimP; December 4, 2009 at 05:21 PM. |
