Need to modify a neck turning adapter
Hi Guys,
I have a Hornady LnL Case Prep Center and it has turned out to be a very useful tool, now I want to make it even better so I can turn necks on my 308 brass. I've purchase a shellholder driver adapter from 21st Century and it has a stem that fits into a drill, however I think it will work much better if I can screw it into my Case Prep Center because it is a nice slow speed. My question is this: How do I go about finding a machine shop that can alter the drill stem into a screw like the bore brush or chamfering tool?

I'll move your post to the handloading forum in case someone there knows of an adapter.
The problem will be that the hexagonal steel shaft now on that driver is likely to have been hardened. This means steel tooling won't cut it. Depending how hard it is, carbide tools might cut it, but if it's hard enough it may need to be ground. You're looking at a lot of dollars worth of machine time and effort and possibly the need for specialized tools. Probably not an economical proposition.

Thanks for the explanation Unclenick, I appreciate it.
I've contacted the fellow that sold it to me and he showed some interest in having one made for me. Maybe I'll get lucky.

If he can start with the hex stock before heat treating, then turning it down and threading it is easy. You can even drill and tap it and Loctite a long hardened screw in and use an abrasive wheel to cut off the head and excess thread and taper the end a little. It may be possible to do that with what you already have, using a carbide drill and tap, but no guarantee.
