Hand broke on my new civilian

Hello, i was cycleing the action when my thumb slipped off the hammer and when i thied to pull it back again no go it was locked up, i disassembled the gun and the hand was broken in hallf and the little spring fell out, i have a old 1851 from the late 70,s on display and decided to do a little experament and removed the hand and hammer from the old and installed it in the new, well to my amazment it works perfect [no filing needed], timing is spot on and trigger pull is the usual 2lbs, boy did i get lucky, i am going to order another hand from vti or the whole kit from cabelas, pghrich

I think they're all replacement parts from Pietta.

They are. I ordered what I thought would be Colt parts from Numrich and what came was the same Pietta package that Cabelas sells.

Pghrich, The whole kit from cabelas is not that bad of a deal long as you use them for the Pietta pistols. I like the parts that VTI, and DGWs sale. You still may haft to do a little fitting for your gun. These spare parts are good to have cause sooner or later you never know when you'll need something. I can't stand a broke gun and not having the part or screw needed to fix it. Don't ask how I found out.
