Sorry,always thought of only 12 oz curls. Actually, my choice for slow, deliberate 2oz exercise is Booker's!
But always in the evening, after a day at the range, or in the field!

I second the Booker's just a little to pricey being in between jobs

I don't know about the "soft squishy" ones, but I bought one off Ebay that is a chinese replacement for the metal plate. I haven't installed it yet, but it seems a little firmer than I expected. Still, it has to be better than metal... doesn't it?

Either way, I'm about to mount a scout scope on mine, along with the firm rubber pad, and see what I can do.

I don't understand why everyone's "default" association with the desire for a brake stems from wanting to avoid the "punishment" of recoil...

I send 100 rounds of handloads with my MN every time at the range, and am not bothered at all by the recoil.

What does bother me, is that when shooting groups at 220 yards with a high-power optic, the rifle jumps so far off target that I need to back down the scope's power, re-acquire the target, then zoom back in for the shot.

If I can keep the rifle from bouncing so far off target, it will make for much easier and faster follow up shots. Got nothing to do with the shoulder...
