First shoot at the range with my new, OLD COLT PEACEMAKER
Today, a hot one, was a run in shoot with my sweet Colt Peacemaker. I am fairly good at shooting targets, and have won many medals doing so in the World Police and Fire Games, but, and here always is a but in life, it bores the snot out of me. This is why I love shooting real things in a real world. Properly sized targets for peep sights at the properly ranged distance, bound up in a hot shooting jacket and gloves is also a bore. In the real world I find more fun shooting at real things at guesstimated ranges, and in odd places...

Call the guy you got it from and buy the other one! Nice Colt for sure.
You need to check out your local cowboy action shooting club. No paper punching, steel targets that go "clang" when you hit 'em. I doubt you would be bored. .38 Special is the most popular chambering right now, so you will be good to go. Many cowboy shooters use lighter bullets than the 158s you were shooting. I've gravitated to a 105 grain bullet for my cowboy action loads. |
