I am thinking of getting the Lee Anniversary Kit for 30.06. Is it good enough? BTW, I will probably only load about 50 per month.

1300, For 50 rounds a month, I think it would be ideal. I wouldn't want too much money wrapped up in equipment that will be setting idle most of the time.

1300,
I have been reloading on my Lee 35th anniv reloading kit for ~4months now. I have only loaded straight walled cases (.45 ACP and 9mm Luger), but it has been VERY reliable. I only paid $67 through midway shipped. Since I have started reloading, I have began to shoot ALOT more, and have moved one step up to a Lee Turret Press for more throughput. I will keep my Challenger press for experimenting with loads and if I ever start loading for rifle calibers. I think you will be pleasantly surprised with how well it works (considering the ridiculously low price). Good luck.

Nathan..

Thanks for the help! I think I will go with it then. What kind of bullets would you recommend for plinking and targets? Looking for some inexpensive stuff maybe in 100 or 500 packs.

For cheap plinking, think about shooting cast bullets. Keep the velocity down (1600-1800 fps) and there aren't any leading problems. A reliable source is http://missoula.bigsky.net/western/

Buy RCBS press when your Lee breaks. Buy RCBS hand-primer when your Lee breaks.

Speaking from experience; own Lee Reloader and Challenger (both broken), Lyman Crusher 2, Bonanza Co-Ax, and an expensive (blue) progressive.
