Should I trade??
Hey guys,
I'm thinking of trading my newly acquired CZ 75 SP-01 Tactical for a Sig Sauer 1911 Nitron.. What do you guys think? I LOVE 1911's and don't have one at the moment.. But with all these high cap magazine bans talk, I'm hesitant to make the trade. I do have a Glock 17 though with 3 high cap mags though.. but I'm not crazy about the trigger of the CZ, I dont like the big mag release, and I shoot 1911's best it seems. I've only taken the CZ to the range once with about 200 rounds through it.. I don't know.. what do you all think? I'm leaning toward doing the trade but wanted your guys opinions.. The sig is brand new, manufactured in Nov of 2012 with 100 flawless rounds through it. Slide and frame have been dehorned as well.. Opinions??? Sent from my Samsung Galaxy via Tapatalk |

you're call. you clearly consider your glock your primary sd weapon, so the sp-01 is just a secondary/fun gun. if you have more fun with a 1911, make the trade.

Seems as if you have answered your own question. You want a 1911, you shoot them best, you don't like the SP-01 trigger. Will be be happy with the SP-01 just because it is high cap, or will you realize that you really should have gotten the 1911. I never had a SP-01 or any CZ for that matter, but I do own a Sig 1911 (great pistol by the way), so maybe I am biased a bit, but just from what you yourself said. Sounds like you all but made up your mind to get the 1911.

Hell yes...Please do it. My SIG 1911 XO has done over 700+ rds flawlessly.
Really solid 1911. If you're thinking about trading the CZ already then just do it. It hasn't built up emotion in you yet. The Glock 17 and the pocket pistol you have are making you happy. You've been wanting a 1911. That SIG 1911 is going to fill that void right up. Pics when you get it yeah? |

My only concern/annoyance with this is that its a 280 mile round trip drive.. But I get the feeling it is most certainly worth it.

I can only add that I have over 1000 rounds throught a Sig C3 1911, without a single hickup. It runs like a sewing machine in a Vietnamese sweat shop.
I personally would..

Nevermind.. I was under the impression the guy wanted to do a straight trade. He has been trying to sell it for a couple weeks now so I figured I'd throw up the idea of a straight trade. But he wanted the CZ plus $300, which is still a nice deal, but I didn't want to have to drive a 280 mile round trip plus pay him $300.
Oh well.. just have to be patient and find another 1911 to buy. |

Since your keeping the SP-01 for now try a CGW hammer kit.
The Race Hammer Kit or Kit 3 will fit the bill. After install I bet you will shoot it better than most 1911's http://www.cajungunworks.com/cgw_race_hammer.html
