I have a SP101 (.357mag, 2 1/4" bbl) that I use as a CCW. I would like to have both front and rear tritium inserts installed. Does anyone reputable offer this work? |

If you are willing to settle for the front sight, Brownells stocks a SP101 tritium front sight.
#957-121-101 SP101 Night Sight $60.00 If you must have rear inserts, check IWI or Trijicon; they offer installation services. http://www.ptnightsights.com/ I don't have Trijicon's address on hand. Perhaps another TFLer will have it handy. [This message has been edited by Daniel Watters (edited March 17, 1999).] |

I am having asimilar problem with my S&W 640 .357 Noone offers just the front sight in tritium. They offer them for other guns but not that one. It would seem to me that they would make one as this gun seriously needs it for combat night shooting. It's hard enough to sight in a target during the day with those little fixed sights.

Well, if you don't want to send your 640 off to Trijicon or IWI to have the front sight drilled, perhaps the S&W Performance Center can set you up with an appropriate front sight. (You have one of the pinned front sight models, yes?)

Riss,
Daniel is right about S&W being able to put a tritium front sight on the 640-1. It is listed on the options from the Performance Center. It costs $65.00 installed. http://www.smith-wesson.com/perform/index.htm Axel |
