No, I didn't.

And yes, softer materials can cause wear to harder materials.

Case in point...

Tube pasta made with semolina/durum flour is extruded through bronze dies. The pasta dough is a lot softer than bronze, yet the extruder dies wear out.

Some shops now use steel dies in the extruders. The steel lasts a lot longer, but eventually the pasta dough causes them to wear out.

Will the average reloader ever wear out a set of dies reloading steel cases? I'd say it depends on how much reloading he does.

Not sure what I was thinking when I posted stainless. The casings were nickle plated as others have already pointed out.

YES CAREBIDE DIES WILL WEAR OUT. I guess that I better clearify something also. My dies were not worn out. They just started gouging the cases due to burrs formed inside of the dies. I call that ruined. The dies were replaced by LEE free of charge, but I will NEVER reload anything except brass cases again.
