.22 Conversion For Pistol Practice?

Because of the recent jump in ammo prices I have been thinking about getting a .22 conversion for my Glock 17 so that I can continue to practice without worrying about cost. Would this be an efficient way to go or are the differences between the two calibers too great? In other words will shooting a .22 all the time mess me up when I go back to my 9mm.

The Sub caliber conversion goes way back and is a viable way to hone skills without the cost. Go for it, I did on my 1911 and love it.

Go for it. As soon as I can, I'm buying the conversion for my Sig.

I have a .22 conversion for my glock 21. It's great. I would highly recommend it.

I think I have the ideal set-ups for training on both pistols and rifles.

G23----- AA G 19/23 .22 LR kit-------KWA Glock 19 Airsoft.
G21----- AA G 20/21 .22 LR kit
1911's--- Ciener .22 LR kit--------- WE 1911 Airsoft
AR's------ Ciener .22 LR kit

These meet my needs for training at home as well as at the range.
I feel like they were all money well spent.

I just found one here in Spokane. They are hard to find right now. Haven't shot it, but a guy at my local range who has one says to be aware that the Glock kits have a break in time. They need about 200 rounds before they soften up.

I will shoot mine this week, and post a short range report for everyone!

Both my AA Glock kits(19/23 & 20/21) ran from the get go with the right ammo. No break in needed.

I did have a few failures to fire with Rem. G.B. but none with Mini-Mags.
I have the same failures in all my 22's with the G.B.'s
