Saw this for sale. Price was hideous. Wanted it. Agonized for 20 minutes at desk staring at monitor. Bought it. Wife's face when I told her what I paid for it was priceless.

Shoots OK. Not spectacular. At least not with me at the helm. Was full power 357 ammo.

I should know this, but my S&W knowledge is thinner than I'd like.

It's a nice wheelgun anyone would like to have.
I have a 6.5" S&W 27-no dash-original grips and all-some holster wear-shoots better than I do.
The older Smiths from the 30's to the 60's were superb firearms.
They started having QC problems with the 66's.

The 6.5 is a rare barrel length n the 27 line. Never cataloged they just pop up from time to time. I have one from 1956 and I have heard they appear through the engineering changes up until the early 1970s then they stop showing up.

Yours have the ramp sight or the Patridge? Seems about evenly split. I wanted the ramp and it took me a long time to find one and I paid through the nose for it.

Shoots okay? I'd say the target shows it's a bit better than okay. I haven't shot many but the ones I have fired all had VERY nice triggers...both double action and single action. How was yours?

Guessing old cop gun? Any idea where it started life? You and I have the only two marked Utah HP guns I know of.
