I guess the rifle is still too new for anyone to own one. I don't know if they've even made it to stores yet.

They're brand new. I can't find any hints of one making it out into the world yet.
Looks like fun, though...

It sure is ugly.
The stock modules are an innovative idea. I don't think I've seen something quite like that before. I wonder if it will find its way into the rest of Ruger's line. I'm curious how accurate it will be. |

It's pretty disappointing that they don't offer it with a threaded barrel.

It looks like a great rifle for a decent price. The thing I don't like about it is the rubber buttpad and check price are connected. The thing I'm hoping for is that they come out with target variants in the near future, it's a far stretch but it would be awesome!

Folding leaf sight. I won't be buying unless there is a good aftermarket rear sight.
The 77/22 is way out of most peoples 22 bolt gun budget. Good move on Ruger's part. Many with 10/22s will appreciate the mag compatibility also. |

If I were not already covered with a good bolt .22 I would buy one. Might anyway.

.
A few folks, over on RFC, have bought the .22 American, and have given a detailed report: http://www.rimfirecentral.com/forums...d.php?t=515861 Most there say it's a $100 rifle for $300. . |

Hmm... Doesn't seem quite as appealing after reading that review.

Without reading the review, I have to say this gun seems to have some great features. Unfortunately, the price of even .22 LR is still sky high right now. I'm seeing prices of close to a DIME a shot for the cheapest available stuff that can be found on ammoseek.com. My Mosin Nagant's 7.62x54R can be had for 20-25 cents a round all over the net. In these hard times, I find it hard to invest in .22 LR when the money could be better spent towards the much more capable caliber.
If times weren't so tough and bricks of .22 LR were still cheap and plentiful, I would probably buy this gun. |

I have always been a Ruger fan, but after reading several reviews and what Ruger sent me, I am not impressed at all with this rifle. What does it offer that is already not currently on the market? IMHO it is ugly and would bet it would be obsolete in a few years. Now is not the time to introduce any 22 when ammo for many is impossible to find.
Will go further on to say Ruger should concentrate its manufacturing efforts on high demand items that people want and still waiting for like the SR1911, and big bore single actions to name a few. |
