Finally

Well, after untold months of reading, asking, and renting, I finally bought my first shotgun today.

Its a Mossberg 500 Bantam .410.

Now I'm good to go on small game hunting and I have plenty of practice ahead for the clay games.

I also feel better about my family being safe when I'm not home, as pretty much everyone in the house can handle the .410. All they need now is practice too.

Good on you. You approached it right, and got what is right for you. It has been many years since I had a .410, my first gun at age 12. I may have to get another one soon.

Be safe, have fun, practice.
