HELP! Lost trying to remove VLTOR M1A rail system

I've got a VLTOR V2 style full length rail system on my rifle.

Trying to remove it. Lost. Must be a hidden screw or technique to get it off without scratching or damaging anything.

Looked online for specs/manual and cannot find it... anyone here have any clue how it's done? Much appreciated.

From the image of their current version, it appears to me that you remove the screws that anchor to the stock, then pop out the trigger group and lift the gun and rail out together. The specs tab on that page says "Mounting points (3): Stripper Clip Guide, rear of barrel, and around the Operation Rod (OpRod) guide". I don't know if your older one is exactly the same, though the stripper clip guide mounting point appears in your photo.

You could probably contact the company for instructions if it isn't obvious once the gun is out of the stock. 520-408-1944. They also have a support email addy: [email protected].

Update, I've contacted VLTOR and they call it the "cluster rail" but don't have instructions for some reason. I think I've found it here: http://www.m1arifles.com/m1a-rifles/...-m1a-socom-ii/

Looks like I guessed correctly for the current top-only rail model. Yours needed the extra step of depressing retaining tabs to remove the lower rail before pulling it from the stock. Glad you found a source of the information.

Thanks for following up. Someone else may need that link.
