I don't know what two "buttons" you are referring to, but if you place the shotgun on a table with the barrel pointing to your right and the ejection port facing the sky, the pin through the receiver that is farthest to the left, just above the triggerguard, must be driven out with a punch to begin disassembly. Be careful with the gun scrubber, most Mossberg trigger housings/guards are plastic, and might not react well to the stuff. I don't know, I don't use it.

I'm not following you on the two-buttons thing, but if you want a manual, just call Mossberg and ask. They will send you one for FREE. I wish I had the # and I would post it, but just visit their website and you'll see it. Mossberg

I DID ORDER A MANUAL FROM MOSSBERG , BUT IM IMPATIENT. AS FOR THE GUN SCRUBBER STUFF..ILL NEVER USE IT AGAIN . IT LEFT A FILM ON BOTH MY SHOTGUN AND ON MY SIG.
I FOUND THE TWO BUTTONS TO BE "PINS" THAT HOLD IN THE RAIL THE SLUGS SLIDE ON FROM THE MAGAZINE TO THE BARREL.
THANKS EVERYONE

Those buttons you are referring to are called pins. Drift them out from right to left. Carefully pull the trigger housing out. Take down from there is pretty complicated compared to, say, an 870. So be careful. I sprayed Gun Scrubber on my 590 just last week and it was fine. And yes, my trigger housing is also plastic. That film you're talking about is the metal being robbed of its oil. That's what gunscrubber does. It removes oil, grease, fouling and the like. But you have to be sure to oil everything down. Rem oil in the spray can works great. Good luck.
