Rohm is one of the better cheap guns. I've had several RG 66 .22's and wish I still had one.

Since I had never heard of a Rohm when it was given to me, I did some research. The later ones were apparently much better than the early ones and the RG38 I have was one of the best ones. It functions great and the only downside for me is the 2" barrel that I don't shoot well.

I think it was perhaps inevitable that a "big ol' smith and wesson" turned out to be a j-frame sized .22 from a 'legendary' manufacturer
