Took A Veteran Shooting Yesterday
In honor of veterans day yesterday I took the old war horse in the picture out and dispatched a couple of bowling pins. Cleaned him up and put him back with his buddies. Best Regards Bob Hunter www.huntercustoms.com |

I hope you didn't need the gaiters when you went... that just makes bowling pin hunting so much less enjoyable...

Pretty cool you have a Woodsman's Pal, too. Not many people know those were gummint issue for jungle warfare in WW2. At one time I had my grandfather's. It disappeared at some point (possibly stolen by my brother), so I bought a new one just to have it. I don't know if they still make them with the saber grip like that.

Tahunua001, gaiters, my DI would have had a field day with that one.
Nope I did not need them. 915A, thanks. ShipWreck, No I did not, he had already been fed his diet of 230 gr Ball. Aguila Blanca, the Woodsman's Pal even has the original sharpening stone and the two manuals with it. One manual explains the care and sharpening of the tool the other explains how to fight with it. The line unit I was with in Nam had some of these and I'm not to sure they were not WWII issue. Best Regards Bob Hunter www.huntercustoms.com |

That one looks like it's in good condition, is it all original? I had the opportunity to buy one about 30 years ago, it was nowhere near in as good of shape as that one though, it was a little rusty looking and the grips were cracking, still wish I had bought though.
