Winchester model 94, 32 cal?

Hi, my name is Todd and this will be my first post.. Im new to this but figured it wld be the best way to get a honest answer on a few questions.. My father is a big gun lover, he recently went into the hospital and has been really sick,,, as we all know the medical bills add up fast.. He asked me to sell a few of his guns but before i do i wld like to get the honest value of them.. The one i have here is a model 94 winchester 32 cal, serial # is 1931664, wood is great on it and the over all condition i wld way is over 90%.. any help wld be great,, thank you..

Can't help w/ value. The .32 Spl is not common anymore a negative as a shooter. The M94 is out of domestic production a plus for value, usually.

Likely some one else will chime in soon.

The rifle is made in 1953, being a pre-'64 model it is more collectible and valuable than the post-'64 models. As far as collectors go there is little if any difference in value between the two most common cartridges for the 94, .30-30 Win. and .32 Special.

Go to gunbroker.com and search closed auctions for guns like the ones you want to sell.

There are a truck load of Model 94s out there. Unless your's is rare or very old, the odds are $400 give or take is what the gun would sell for.

It is indeed a '53, in fact it is a litter-mate of one I own.

The pre-1964 models are worth more, but I wouldn't expect to get more than $350 if I were to sell mine today.

The .32Win ammo is still quite easy to find

thank you all for the great information.. i spoke to my dad today and he sd he would like to get 300 for it so you all sound right on the money with the info.. Now i gotta find a buyer for this... i know a gun store i would be lucky to get half that... ..

Prices vary from region to region depending on various factors, one being the condition of the local economy. If the rifle is truly as described "way over 90%" i'd consider $300 a very low price.

I was at a gun show recently in North Dakota where the economy is booming thanks to oil and gas production. If you showed up there and said you wanted $400 for this rifle you'd have been holding the money before you'd completed the sentence (and the buyer would likely have resold it for $500 before the day was out).

If you check some of the web sites I mentioned earlier you'll see dealers asking prices of at least $650 - $695 for similar rifles in lesser condition. Asking a price isn't necessarily the same as getting it, but I assume these dealers have an interest in actually turning over their inventory, and wouldn't set a price totally out of the ballpark.

If there are places where rifles of this quality are regularly trading in the $300 range I need to go there.

Thank you all for the info.. i sold the gun for 300,, my dad was pleased with that..my next adventure is a set of 12 single shot 22's.. There all hammers i think, some are octagon barrels...i have to get the names off of them...does this threw do other info besides winchester? thanks..Todd
