CMP Garand

Tuesday I signed for my latest CMP Garand, Springfield Armory service grade.

I finished cleaning it this morning and was very surprised, the rifle is new, almost no wear on the barrel opp rod interface and none on the caming surfaces of the receiver, barrel is dated 54 SA.

Serial Number is 5,444,XXX,

H&R bolt and opp rod,(opp rod looks new) new Boyds wood that fits up very tight.

Can't wait to feed this my reloads.

Have been dealing with CMP/DCM since 1984 and this is by far the best of three Garands I have recevied.

Wife is stranded in SD with the camera so no photos.

Thanks again CMP
